REST: (Antonym) Stressed.

I could not find “rest” in the dictionary.  I wonder if that could be considered a clue.  Maybe it was my version of the dictionary.  But still, it was not important enough to be included.  How important is rest?  Try to skip resting for three days in a row.  Watch how your attitude runs parallel with dark alleys.  Sounds a lot like trouble to me.

Can you remember the grade school teachers telling us how to eat three square meals each day as being essential?  Remember how they told us to rest for at least “8” hours each day?  Maybe we forgot?  Maybe we did not listen?  Maybe we do not believe them?

Keeping busy has become more essential to modern life than getting proper rest.  And it shows.  It is a good thing we compensate for the lack of good rest by eating fast foods to save time.  Now we can be busier than ever and choke out rest completely.  Get serious.  Learn to rest properly.  Start tonight if you are not too busy.

Some remove getting good rest from their lives like it was an unwanted appendage.

In the hydraulics of life, the rest we can find forms the grease.

Good rest is not about what we can get, but more about what we may become without it.

At the daycare center, children cry when nap time arrives.  They cannot wait until they get old enough so they do not have to miss out on any fun by taking a nap.  It is amazing how much fun a nap has become.  And at a day care, just think how much fun it is when 23 toddlers miss their rest.  Let’s do that again!  Add rest to your daily list of things to do.
